Family Governance Advisory
Transforming the Relationship Between Family & Enterprise
Helping successful Asian families establish communication platforms and decision-making structures that preserve wealth and unity for generations.

About
Building Family Governance Across Asia
Family Legacy Asia works with successful Asian families to help them establish communication platforms and decision-making structures for both the family and the family enterprise. We facilitate family meetings to help the family talk about their vision and values and the relationship between the family and the family enterprise.
The key to passing on a successful family enterprise that will flourish for at least five generations comes down to the way in which the family members make joint decisions together — and this is called family governance.
Christian Stewart founded Family Legacy Asia in July 2008 to help Asian families preserve their family wealth for generations by providing them with independent and objective advice on effective family governance practices.
Christian works with enterprising families as a process consultant, coach and family meeting facilitator. He helps families to form their own family council, family constitution and family policies, often in the context of planning for succession. Christian also advises a small number of families on family learning & development, and acts as a chief learning officer.

Approach
A Tailored Process for Every Family
While the approach is tailored for every family, the process often involves creating a family council and family constitution to help build the "family team", strengthen family unity, and help the family resolve specific issues they have been unable to resolve on their own.
